Author is developing his novel, Chilling Encounter into a screen script. Early writing for publication started with poem competition entry.
A number of poems, chosen for editor anthologies, have later been compiled in author’s own compilations – Poems with themed notes, Mists of Time and more recently Short Story, Verse, Commentary b y Colin H Coles.

 
Early life saw author train for a career in UK Merchant Navy. Inevitably, maybe? Several novels derive from this seafarer life. Atlantic Hijack, River Escape, Chilling Encounter and Sea, Sand and Katrina… Also, certain short stories. Sea poem “Eye of the Storm,” short listed down to fifth from 60,000 competition entries worldwide.
Author published first novel, Atlantic Hijack in 2014, after completion of nearly thirty years employ with British postal service. Novel writing and poetry composition courses were followed out of interest, but also to progress author’s novel, short story and poetry composition.
Married for fifty – two years with adult sons, author enjoys writing across genres. Posts online, with Author Journey Commentary, Short Stories and Verse. Often, while author works on creating a new novel.
