Elle Fran Williams is a London-born author with Irish roots, now living in a Northamptonshire village with her lively household of a daughter, a dog, four rescue cats, and two horses (who thankfully live outdoors!). A former social worker with decades of experience across diverse communities, Elle brings deep empathy and insight into human nature through her writing.
She holds a degree in Social Science and a Master’s in Social Policy and once upon a time, even won medals in Irish dancing and ice skating! A proud mother and grandmother of five, she loves reading, writing, traveling, crocheting, and loudly debating politics from her living room.
Elle writes character-driven, fast-paced novels that blend crime, mystery, and humanity often more “why-dun-its” than traditional thrillers. Her work includes two series: standalone mystery novels and a detective series led by the complex, intuitive John Roche. Her stories are mostly set in the UK and Ireland, with the occasional journey to Boston, USA.
