I grew up in a small village in Devon, England, where life revolved around a close-knit community. At nineteen, I stepped beyond that familiar world to join the Royal Air Force as an airfield technician—a decision that changed my life forever. Leaving behind the comfort of a small-town lifestyle, I found myself navigating the vast complexities of the world. After nine years of service, I transitioned into a career in technology, earning a postgraduate qualification and working across both defense and commercial sectors. My work took me to diverse places and cultures, broadening my perspective in ways I had never imagined.

Beyond my professional journey, my greatest adventure has been with my incredible wife—the most amazing, intelligent, and beautiful woman I could have hoped for. Together, we raised three wonderful children who have since built lives of their own, becoming a continuous source of inspiration for my writing.

As I grew older, I found solace in science fiction and fantasy novels, a welcome escape from the fast-paced world of technology. These stories sparked my imagination, leading me to create my own fictional worlds—rich with diverse characters facing struggles that often mirror the challenges of our own time. For years, the desire to write my own stories lingered, but time was never on my side. It was only after retiring from the high-tech industry that I finally embraced storytelling as a way to share these worlds with others.

Writing became more than just a creative pursuit—it became a way to look outward rather than dwell on my own challenges. Through this journey, I came to understand that while life can be incredibly tough, hope always remains. We live in uncertain times, perhaps more so than ever before, yet even in the darkest moments, a glimmer of light persists. If we stand together through adversity, that glimmer can grow into a beacon—one that outshines even the bleakest of times. It was only recently that I realized this message of resilience and hope had been woven into my stories all along.
