Edith Lynn Hornik-Beer is an author/journalist whose work has been published here and abroad including The Denver Post, The New York Times, Elle Magazine, Neue Zuercher Zeitung (Switzerland) and many others. She was one of the winners of the 2017 Matt Kramer award for excellence in journalism. She is the author of 5 books, most recently The Drinking Woman Revisited and For Teenagers Living With A Parent Who Abuses Alcohol/Drugs both of which have been proofed by physicians in the field.
