Rolf Österberg (pseudonym) is an ex-Dutch commando who served as such for a number of years. His interest in the work of the UN saw him working for them in Africa for a few years. He is currently a full-time writer, living outside the Netherlands.

One Woman Crusade was first published in Dutch as De Zaak by Celtica Publishing in 2016. It is the prologue to a series of thrillers that can be read on their own but have a common dominator in both global terrorism and a number of characters. There are five thrillers in the process of being translated from Dutch to English: The Al Qaeda Connection, The Oslo Virus, The Al Qaeda Attack, Blood Brothers, and Revenge, all previously published in Dutch. The Al Qaeda Connection will be published in English in July 2022.

Besides thrillers, Rolf also writes epic fantasy. From December 2014 until December 2018, Celtica Publishing released his The Abyss (De Afgrond), a series of five books. They are published in Dutch. There are, at this moment, no plans to translate this epos into English.
