Raymond Dlug was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to the NJ Bayshore town of Keansburg with his family when he was 8 years old. He lived there and in various Jersey Shore towns most of his life. After building a house, he moved to Florida’s East Coast at the end of 2024.

Ray retired from the United States Postal Service five years ago after serving as a Letter Carrier for 30 years.

He is married to his wife Patty and has two adult stepchildren: Mary Catherine, and Chris; and his wife Corrin. He has twin grandchildren, Lily and Finnegan.

He is a big fan of the Devils, Chargers, and the Orioles. He also loves gardening, time at the beach, and his pool/tiki bar time in his backyard. But most of all, he loves his role as “Grampy,” and spending time with family. Ray is the eldest of 7 children and has 21 nieces and nephews.

This book is based on a story he told his nephew Anthony many years ago.
