Bob (Robert) Brink, originally from Muskegon, Michigan, grew up in Iowa before moving to a small farm at age 14, where he learned the less-than-exciting task of picking corn. After a challenging coming-of-age, he embarked on a career in journalism, working in cities like Joliet, Chicago, Milwaukee, Tampa, and West Palm Beach. He later moved to Clearwater, Florida in 2023. Brink earned several writing awards during his career, including recognition for his magazine, which won the award for Best Written Magazine in Florida.
In addition to his writing, Brink is passionate about music, learning to play clarinet and tenor saxophone and performing with a symphonic band. He is also an advocate for alternative healthcare, while blogging on topics ranging from grammar to socio-political issues. He began freelance writing and editing, eventually publishing several works, including a ghost-written book, a short story collection, and three novels.
His latest novel, Blood on Their Hands, is a legal thriller about a racist attorney who defends a black man wrongfully accused of resisting arrest. As the attorney uncovers troubling information about the officers involved, his priority becomes keeping himself and his client alive. Brink self-published the second edition of this novel, featuring a new cover, on Amazon KDP.
Brink’s previous work, Murder in Palm Beach: The Homicide That Never Died, became a bestseller on Amazon Kindle. This roman à clef explores a real 1976 murder case, where new revelations in 2020 led to the victim’s children petitioning for a pardon for the wrongly imprisoned karate expert. An investigation into the case may soon be reopened.
